About Glotronic
Hello and welcome! We're so glad you're here. Do you or someone you know own a business? Do you, or they, need help with a contact form or collecting information? Need help with a website, or making a QR code? Do you have an idea for an app or software, but you don't know how to even begin creating it? You're in the right place. We can help do all of that, and more. Contact us today and we can talk through your ideas.
I'm Mike. I'm excited to be working for myself. But who isn't? The honest reason Glotronic exists is simpler than that: I want to help people while making a living.
I chose to focus on small and medium businesses specifically because I've seen how larger vendors lock you into choices you didn't make and wouldn't have picked yourself. Custom software shouldn't mean surrendering control of your own business to a platform that decides what you have based on what is convenient for them.
Security and privacy aren't an afterthought here, they're top-tier values I hold for every project, including this site itself: encryption wherever I can, no passwords that could leak and minimal personal data, only what suits our customer's needs. If that sounds like overkill, that's exactly the point, it's the same care I bring to whatever I build for you.
Where I've been
A handful of people around south-central PA knew me as a teenager and in my early twenties, fixing computer problems one at a time. In years since, I've worked across a wide range of the software and tech industry, for other people, before deciding to do this for myself.
I started at a local a furniture manufacturer working on their accounting and inventory systems, and learned how fast I could pick things up. From there I moved to a SecOps company working on custom- hardened mobile devices and a secure web-based accounting system, and picked up four new languages in eighteen months. Next was FINRA, where I spent four years taking their audit tools web application from early idea to finished product, learning Agile, quality practices, and what stable development looks like inside a regulated environment. Then at EVAPCO I got comfortable digging into problems that span multiple layers of a system. Most recently, at TaxAct, I learned how to put AI to efficient, effective, and healthy use.
Local, for life
South-central Pennsylvania is home. I've lived here for nearly all of my 42 years, aside from a few years away at college, and I always came back. When I say this is a local business, I mean I'm your neighbor, doing the work.
This is a family effort, start to finish. The welcome above is from my wife, Rachael; everything after it is mine.
